Emergent Game Technologies has taken $4M in funding for the firm's game development software, according to numbers released last week in the PricewaterhouseCOopers/NVCA Venture Capital survey. Details on the funding have not been released. Emergent Game Technologies develops the Gamebryo game engine, which is used to develop online, massively multiplayer online games. Emergent's software runs on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, and other platforms, and provides 3D game environments for a significant number of gaming titles.
