KidZui Gets Win With Comcast
San Diego-based KidZui, which develops kid-safe web browser technology, has scored a distribution win with Comcast. Comcast Interactive Media said that it has partnered with KidZui to create a comprehensive Internet portal for kids and families. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, however, Comcast said it will give a customized, free version of KidZui's browser to Comcast subscribers, which will give them access to 2 million kid-friendly games, web sites, and videos to users. The browser will be available for download from Comcast, and the deal also includes the option to purchase a premium version of KidZui. KidZui is venture backed by Maveron, Emergence Capital Partners and First Round Capital.
