Riot Games Raises $8M
Los Angeles-based Riot Games, a developer of online video games, announced today that it has raised a new, $8M round of financing. The round came from Benchmark Capital, FirstMark Capital, and Chinese online services firm Tencent. Riot Games develops online games which are free to play, which use virtual items for monetizing those games. The firm said its first title, League of Legends, will launch in North America in the fall.
