DivX Ships On LG Phones
San Diego-based DivX, a developer of video encoding and decoding technology, announced today that the firm's technology has shipped on two LG mobile phones. DivX said that LG's new LG GW620 Android smart phone, and the new LG Chocolate phone are both DivX Certified, and support the firm's video encoding format. DivX has been providing its technology to a variety of LG electronics, including its HDTV and DVD devices.
