Samsung Electronics announced today that the firms are integrating RealD's 3D technology into a new line of 3D TVs. According to the two, Samsung will support RealD's format for the delivery and display of 3D content in an upcoming line of televisions, and also work together on active eyewear technology. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, and the firms did not say when they expect to be shipping RealD-enabled 3D televisions. RealD is a provider of 3D projection equipment for movie theaters; the deal with Samsung follows a deal announced in December to include the firm's 3D technology in 3D televisions from Sony.
