Aerovironment Selected By Nissan For Electric Vehicle Charging

has been selected by auto maker
Nissan
to supply and install electric vehicle home charging stations, Nissan said today. According to Nissan North America, it has selected Aerovironment to supply home-charging stations and installation services for the firm's all electric Nissan LEAF, starting later this year. Nissan's LEAF is a five-passenger, electric car, which uses a 220 volt charging station. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Nissan said that Aerovironment will provide a nationwide network of electricians to offer pre-installation home assessment services and installation of charging stations for the LEAF.
