San Diego-based
Novatel Wireless, maker of the MiFi mobile hotspot device, which turns a 3G mobile connection into a personal Wi-Fi hotspot, said it is deploying its devices in Thailand with
CAT, which operates a CDMA network in that country. According to Novatel, CAT will make the Novatel Wireless MiFi 2220 Intelligent Mobile Hospot available in February. The firm did not say what kinds of volumes it expects from the deal. Novatel supplies wireless data cards and its new MiFi device to Verizon, Orange, Virgin Mobile USA, and others.
