Tunewiki Gains Investment, Hires Activision Vets
Tunewiki, a developer of a user-driven service which combines streaming music with music lyrics, said Tuesday that it has received a strategic investment from NTT DOCOMO. The firm has a U.S. office in Los Angeles, but is headquartered in the British Virgin Islands with operations in Israel. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. As part of the funding, the firm said it has hired Activision vet Lawrence Goldberg as its Chief Operating Officer, and fellow Activision vet Michael Steiner as Director of Marketing. Goldberg was EVP, Worldwide Studios, Chief Corporate Counsel, and General Counsel at Activision. Steiner was Senior Global Brand Manager for Activision-Blizzard's Guitar Hero franchise.
