Santa Monica-based CODA Automotive, the heavily backed electric car manufacturer, said today that it has hired David Funston as its Vice President, Fleet and Commercial Sales. Funston joins the company from Funston Fleet Services, which he founded, which provided consulting to OEMs, dealer groups, and fleet dealers on fleet sales and used vehicle remarketing. CODA said that Funston will market the firm's sedan to commercial fleet customers. Funston has also served at Isuzu, Hyundai Motor, and Chevrolet.
