Santa Barbara-based Sonos, which develops a user-friendly audio streaming device for the whole house, said today that it has introduced a new Sonos Controller app for the Apple iPad. Sonos, which is known for its very user friendly devices for streaming music from both the Internet and a user's PC to different rooms in a house, said the Sonos Controller will allow users to control their Sonos ZonePlayer from their iPad. The new application will be free to download from the App store in August. Sonos said the new app will support both landscape and portrait mode, allow users to see what is playing in every room in their house, and also easily navigate and browse through music albums.
