Kurion Sets Up Shop In Irvine
Kurion, a developer of nuclear waste management technology, said Thursday afternoon that it has set up a headquarters and engineering office in Irvine. The firm, which is a spinout of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, is venture backed by Lux Capital Management and Firelake Capital Management. Kurion said it selected Irvine for its headquarters, due to the concentration of small and medium sized engineering and design companies and talent in Orange County and Los Angeles COunty. Kurion has an R&D facility in Oak Ridge, TN.
