SmartSound Launches Cloud Music Service
Northridge-based SmartSound Software, which develops music and soundtrack creation software and a related library of royalty-free music, said today that it has launched a new product. The firm said it has launched Quicktracks, a new cloud-based music customization service. The new service allows customers to create and mix music tracks online from the firm's website, and download those completed tracks to their projects. Previously, the firm's service required users to run specialized software and use additional music library CDs to create tracks; the new service does not require those library of CDs. SmartSound's Sonicfire Pro product allows producers to mix in different styles and moods of music, and adjust those tracks measure by measure to match a production's length and needs.
