PointHub Takes On Travel Rewards
A new, Santa Monica-based startup, PointHub, is getting set to launch a service to help travelers decipher travel rewards and points programs. The service is aimed at helping travelers figure out if it's better to use their points or pay cash for travel. The startup--headed by Justin Byers--has created a "Cash vs. Points Recommendation Engine" which compares pricing factors, redemption fees, loyalty program restrictions, and more to help travelers figure out how to book their flights and travel. The service is free, and according to the company currently supports more than 200 loyalty programs.
