San Diego-based Active.com
, the online fitness and sports site run by Active Network, said today that it has inked a deal with Best Buy
, to offer up fitness plans at Best Buy's Chicago area stores. According to Active, it will provide Active.com Couch-to-5K Trainer plans with purchases from any item from Best Buy's health and fitness product line, including purchases of pedometers, heart rate monitors, treadmills, and other fitness products. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Active said the plan will be co-branded with Best Buy. The firm's Couch-to-5K plans are aimed at helping people start an exercise regimen.
