Local Corporation Names Sawtell President
Irvine-based Local Corporation, the online local advertising and directory publisher, said this morning that it has promoted Chief Operating Officer Michael Sawtell, to President and COO. Sawtell has been COO since May. Sawtell rejoined Local after the firm acquired DigitalPost Interactive and its Rovion business. Sawtell was founder and CEO of DigitalPost. Sawtell is a Local.com vet, having been president and COO of the firm between 2000 and 2005. In addition to the promotion, Local said it has named Erick Herring as its Senior Vice President, Technology; Herring previously founded daily deals site Townloop, and served at Feedback.com, Adapt Technologies, WebVisible, Zenith Insurance and Digital Evolution.
