Local Corporation, the online local business directory publisher, said today that it has launched a new, optimized mobile version of its site. According to the firm, the updated site will allow users to search fro local products and services from a mobile phone, adding click-to-call functionality, a simplified user interface, maps and directions, and more. The firm said it made the updates due to an upsurge in mobile visits to the site, which now represents nine percent of the visits to the site; the company said it saw 88 million mobile subscribers accessing its site in September.
