Hollywood-based
Cocodot, the online invitations startup headed by former MySpace exec Shawn Gold, has made a subtle shift into the e-commerce sector in recent days, adding jewelry, chocolates, gifts, and more to the site. The startup--which previously offered up upscale online greeting cards--now features valentine's day gifts and chocolates, gifts, a new line of jewelry, and other products to its users. It's unclear when the shift happened, although the company just began emailing users about its various products today. Cocodot has previously gotten funding from Anthem Ventures, Mailroom Fund, and Rincon Venture Partners. Gold was SVP, Marketing & Content of MySpace.com, and also was publisher at Weblogs.
