Goodreads Catalogs 300 Million Books
Los Angeles-based book social networking and sharing site Goodreads, which is headed by Otis Chandler, reported today that it has cataloged its 300 millionth book on the site, as usage of the site continues to grow. The firm--which said it took three years to get to 100 million books, fourteen months to get to 200 million--said it took just seven months to hit the latest milestone. Goodreads said it now has more than 8 million members on the site, which allows users to rate and review books, compare ratings with friends, discover new books they might be interested in reading, and much more.
