, the online new and used car pricing website, said it has launched a redesigned website and new ad campaign. TrueCar, which is headed by Scott Painter, said it has launched a $7.7M advertising campaign developed by Santa Monica's DW+H, to help position it as a national brand. The ad launch comes as part of a redesigned website, which it says emphasizes providing "fairness for both buyers and sellers." The new site looks to be a reaction to the pushback TrueCar has seen from automotive dealers, who were put off by TrueCar's consumer-centric, discounted pricing focus, according to TrueCar. The firm said that its prior ad push caused "genuine concern by dealers and manufacturers" due to that focus.
