    Motorola, JBL In Alliance

Northridge-based JBL, a division of Harman International, and Motorola announced this morning that the two companies will team to provide music accessories for mobile music devices. The firms said that they will build accessories for Motorola's music handsets, combining Motorola's phone designs and JBL's high fidelity sound brand. Motorola has recently been trying to make a play in the portable music player market, and had recently introduced the Motorola ROKR, an Apple iTunes-compatible mobile phone. Motorola's recent introduction of its second generation, ROKR E2 phone included compatibility with JBL's OnTour speaker system.
