    Movielink Offers Movieoke Downloads

Santa Monica-based broadband video-on-demand company Movielink said today that it is offering up free downloads of "Movieoke" winners from the Gen Arts Film Festival in New York. According to the company, "Movieoke" is apparently similar to karoake where participants recite well known dialogue lines from movies. Scenes from film are projected onto a screen, and then participants voice those scenes. The company is hoping its free downloads will encourage people to try out the movie download service. Movielink offers movies from a wide range of studios, and allows for the instant download and playing of those movies for a set rental fee.
