    Movielink To Allow Download-to-Burn

Santa Monica-based Movielink has inked a deal with a provider of DVD burning software, Sonic Solutions, to enable DVD burning of movies downloaded through the online movie download service. MovieLink said this morning that it is in a licensing agreement for technology from Sonic to allow consumers to burn downloaded movies onto recordable discs for playback on a standard DVD player. Sonic and Movielink said they will also collaborate on marketing Movielink's service through Sonic's OEM, retail, and online distribution channels. Movielink provides an online, broadband movie download service. The firm is a joint venture of MGM Studios, Paramount, Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, and Warner Bros.
