MPAA Files Suit Against eBay Pirates

The Motion Picture Association of America said this week that it has filed seven lawsuits against eBay users who were selling counterfeit DVDs on the auction service. The group said that it has filed lawsuits in a Los Angeles federal court against individuals in California, Illinois, New York, and Texas. The lawsuit alleges that the eBay users were selling counterfeit DVDs of Million Dollar Baby, Batman Begins, Scooby Doo, Stealth, 13 Going on 30, Ice Age and Sideways. The MPAA regularly files lawsuits against counterfeiters of movies.
