MTV, Amp'd Partner On Mobile Programming

Los Angeles-based MVNO Amp'd Mobile and MTV Networks said this morning that the two companies are working together on an original, made-for-mobile series exclusively for Amp'd. The firms said that the new series will appear on Amp'd entertainment portal. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Amp'd provides a youth-oriented cell phone service, and as of Tuesday reports that it had over 100,000 subscribers at the end of 2006. The venture backed firm said Tuesday that it added 70,000 of those new subscribers in the fourth quarter.
