Monrovia-based MusicIP, a provider of technology for music discovery and search, released a number of new features this week, including a new Acoustic Discovery service, a free music identification service, and tag fixing software for digital music files. MusicIP said that its new acoustic discovery service search engine will identify music similar to artists, albums, and tracks that users like, and can be integrated into any application. The firm also said it will make its music identification service, MusicDNS, free to developers; and has also rolled out a new product to fix metadata in music files, which can also be incorporated into third party products.
