My Damn Channel Signs Coolio, Others

Los Angeles and New York-based My Damn Channel, a venture-backed, online entertainment studio, said Tuesday that it has signed on rapper Coolio and two other artists to product programs for the firm. Financial details of the deals were not disclosed, however My Damn Channel said that Coolio, A.D. Miles, and Steve Kerper will launch video channels and create weekly, original episodic video content for the firm. The new series will debut in early 2008. According to My Damn Channel, Coolio will create a cooking show focused on teaching viewers how to cook soul dishes. A.D. Miles, who is the comedian behind "Dog Bites Man" on Comedy Central, will create a new series "Horrible People" for My Damn Channel; Steve Kerper wrote and produced "Hardcore TV" for HBO.
