    MySpace Partners For Text Messaging Alerts


    Los Angeles-based social networking web site MySpace said today that it has partnered with mobile services provider mBlox to provide text messaging alerts for its service. According to the firms, the new service will allow MySpace users to see text alerts using their mobile phones. The service provides notification of new messages, friend requests, comments, and other profile activity via SMS. Financial details of the deal were not released.
