NantKwest Gets $1M Grant For Cancer Research Effort

Los Angeles-based cancer treatment developer NantKwest said this week that it has received $1M n an award, from the Prostate Cancer Foundation, to study the company's therapy as a novel therapeutic approach in advanced prostate cancer. NantKwest said the $1 Million Challenge award was given to NantKwest, in conjunction with Dr. Ganesh Palapattu at the University of Michigan and Dr. Karen Knudsen at Thomas Jefferson University. NantKwest is the newly public, cancer treatment company led by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong.
