NantWorks' Soon-Shiong Eyes AEG

Patrick Soon-Shiong, the biotech billionaire behind local technology thinktank and investor NantWorks, has emerged as a potential bidder for AEG, the owner of the Staples Center, and part owner of the L.A. Lakers, L.A. Kings, and L.A. Galaxy, according to reports. NantWorks has been one of the more active investors and acquirer of technology and biotech companies in the area recently, although those deals are dwarfed by a potential deal for AEG, which is reportedly seeking bids of around $7 billion for the business.
