    Napster Hits England

Roxio's Napster legal music download services has ended months of speculation with a launch in the UK. Los Angeles-based Napster (www.napster.co.uk) is the first legal music download service to launch in the UK, and will provide access to music from BMG, EMI, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music International, Warner Music International and independent labels through AIM. The company also inked a deal with major electronics retailer Dixons Group plc which will promote Napster's service throughout Dixon's chain of electronics stores in the UK, starting today. Roxio purchased the rights to the Napster name after the Napster peer to peer swapping service was sued out of business by the music labels.
