Napster Returns: Rhapsody Renames Itself As Napster

In another chapter in the brand-that-wouldn't-disappear, Napster, the music streaming service brand which, for awhile, was based in Los Angeles, is coming back -- this time, as a rebrand of Seattle-based streaming music service Rhapsody. Napster was in Los Angeles until it was split between Rhapsody and Best Buy back in 2011 in a sale, having moved to Los Angeles when prior owner Roxio acquired the Napster name in 2004 and moved the headquarters for that business to LA--all of that, after the illegal music download service which originally was Napster was driven out of business by lawsuits from the music labels.
