    Network Inference Raises $8.1M


    Carlsbad-based Network Inference announced that the company has closed a $8.1M Series B funding from Palomar Ventures and Nokia Venture Partners. The company relocated its headquarters to the US from the UK in the first half of this year. Network Inference is developing software based on web-services based, policy driven applications for the enterprise, based on WWW and RDF standards. The company said that the latest funding roudn would be used to strengthen the company's sales, marketing, and customer support teams.
