Network LIVE, DIRECTV Sign Live Music Agreement
Los Angeles-based Network LIVE, the America Online, XM Satellite Radio, and AEG joint venture, said yesterday that it has signed an agreement with El Segundo-based DIRECTV to provide live music and entertainment programming. Network LIVE will provide live entertainment programming to the satellite television operator, with an official launch in March of 2006. The companies will collaborate on providing live premiere performances of music artists, starting with a performance from the John Mayer Trio. The content will be delivered via a dedicated DIRECTV channel, and will cross-promote the live music entertainment series via AOL, XM Satellite Radio, and AEG.
