Netwrix Acquired By TA Associates

Irvine-based Netwrix, a provider of cybersecurity software, has received a majority investment from private equity investor TA Associates, the two said this morning. Financial details of the investment were not announced. According to Netwrix, the investment will go to grow its portfolio of data security solutions. According to the companies, members of the Netwrix senior management team, as well as existing Netwrix investor Updata Partners also made an investment in the company, and will maintain a "significant" interest in the company. Netwrix is led by CEO Steve Dickson; the company provides its cybersecurity products to mid-market companies, with 500 to 10,000 employees. Michael Libert, Harry Taylor and Amit Jain of TA Associates all join the company's board with the majority investment, with Dan Mayleben, CEO of 2ndWave Software, and Matt Dircks, CEO of BeyondTrust, also joining.
