PacInfo Validates GM Project
Santa Barbara-based PacInfo (www.pacinfotech.com) has been selected to supply software validation for GM's PowerTrain Electronics Integration and Systems Group. According to the company, PacInfo will validate the software for GM's ETC module in its upcoming 2004 ION Red Line car.

Parasoft Adds Automotive Software Error Detection
Monrovia-based Parasoft (www.parasoft.com) has extended its products into the automative vertical. Parasoft has upgraded CodeWizard and C+ + Test to include a set of Motor Industry Software Reliability Association (MISRA) coding standards. The MISRA standards are used by teams working to build software for automobiles.

Peerless Lands Controller Agreement
El Segundo-based Peerless Systems (www.peerless.com) announced that it has signed an agreement with Legend (Beijing) Limited to include peerless imaging controllers for an upcoming color printer. The new product will be marketed in the People's Republic of China. Peerless will provide turnkey development of the office color tandem laser printer.
