Gemstar-TV Guide, LG Electronics in Licensing Deal
Korean-based LG Electronics has signed an agreement with Pasadena-based Gemstar-TV Guide International (www.tvguide.com) for rights to incorporate Gemstar's TV Guide on Screen and other interactive program guides into its products. The products covered include integrated digital sets, DVRs, and DVD records in North America.

D-Link, AOL in Alliance
Fountain Valley-based D-Link (www.dlink.com) and America Online are in a new alliance to provide entertainment services to the home. The two companies will work together to deliver products and services for broadband consumers into the home. The initial step is including AOL's Radio@AOL service with D-Link's new Wireless Media Players, giving AOL Broadband users access to CD quality Radio@AOL service on D-Link's hardware.
