Peerless Extends Adobe Agreement, Ships Print Controllers
El Segundo-based Peerless Systems (www.peerless.com) has inked an extension with Adobe to license Adobe's PostScript and PDF technologies. The three year extension authorized Peerless to license products that use Adobe's technology in the People's Republic of China (PRC) and Taiwan. Earlier this week Peerless also announced shipment of their new Everst print controllers designed for multi-function peripherals.

Ulead Upgrades DVD Authoring Software
Torrance-based Ulead Systems (www.ulead.com) has upgraded its DVD authoring software, DVD Workshop 2. The software provides the ability to create professional DVDs, with support for Digital Linear Tape and dual layer DVDs. The new software provides subtitle and audio tracks for alternate music and language and playlists for complex navigation.

Roxio Moves To LA
Roxio announced that it is consolidating its offices into Los Angeles, as the company reshuffles its operations. Roxio bought Napster and Pressplay last year, and is moving its headquarters to Napster's Los Angeles offices. The company also announced that Laura Goldberg will be located in LA as Napster's COO, and that Pressplay's Mike Bebel will be leaving the company. Roxio's head of worldwide development, Brad Duea, will become head of the company.
