Marina Del Rey-based CrownPeak Technology (www.crownpeak.com) has signed the publisher of the Robb Report as a customer. CurtCo Media will use CrownPeak's Advantage CMS system to manage the company's online web properties. CrownPeak's product offers unified content management, site search, bulletin boards, and more within the solution.

SMC Expands Wireless Line
Irvine-based SMC Networks (www.smc.com) has added two new 2.4GHz wireless network devices to its lineup. The company's new SMCANT Wireless High Gain Flat Panel Antenna and SMCANT Lightning Protector. The antenna is intended to replace the antenna on any 02.11b or 80211b/g wireless router, and allows the point to point range on those to extend to up to 9 miles. The lightning protector is designed to integrate into wireless networks.

Broadcom Buys RAIDCore for $16.5M
Irvine-based Broadcom (www.broadcom.com) has acquired storage silicon provider RAIDCore for $16.5M. RAIDCore develops enterprise level software designed to provide RAID and virtualization capability to servers. The company's products work with Serial ATA and Serial Attached SCSI. Broadcom stated that the initial products from the acquisition would be a highly integrated RAID-on-chip and RAID-on-motherboard solutions for entry and mid-range applications.
