JAMDAT Inks NBA Deal
Santa Monica-based JAMDAT Mobile (www.jamdat.com) has inked an agreement with Verizon Wireless and the NBA to publish a new game based on NBA teams and players. The new game is available only on Verizon Wireless' Get It Now service. Jamdat is backed by Benchmark Capital, Apax Partners, Qualcomm, Sun, and Intel.

USC Gets AT&T Grant
The University of Southern California has received a $75K grant from AT&T to create a "data visualization wall" for its students. The new, fully wired "access grid" project will link wall-sized, high resolution video screens and audio equipment and network access to things like parallel computing resources.
