VlaueClick Expands Content Management Software
Westlake Village-based ValueClick (www.valueclick.com) will include digital document management in its Adware division's digital content management solution through a marketing partnership with Kofax. ValueCLick will integrate Kofax's Ascent Capture digital image capture application with the company's Content Depot software, as it looks to expand the use of its software to healthcare, legal, and financial services.

Synergy Teams With Wind River
San Diego-based Synergy Microsystems (www.synergymicro.com) announced an alliance with embedded solutions provider Wind River. Synergy develops board-level solutions for embedded applications, and will tap Wind River for next generation software platforms from Wind River.

RackSaver, MPI Software Combine
San Diego-based RackSaver, a provider of blade computing systems announced that it is acquiring MPI Software, a provider of cluster computing software packages and renaming the company to Verari Systems (www.verari.com). The two companies will combine Verari's blade computing systems with MPI's software for managing and controlling clustered computers.

Broadcom Buys Video Compression Firm
Irvine-based Broadcom (www.broadcom.com) last week said it is acquiring Sand Video for $77.5M. Sand Video provides advanced video compression semiconductor technology, used for a broad range of consumer digital video applications. The deal is a combination of mostly stock and some cash.
