Newport Beach-based PivX Solutions (www.pivx.com) announced that it has added Luis Curet as VP of Sales. Curet joins from Rainbow Technologies, and also has served at Software Technologies. Rainbow provides computer security products and research.

Integrator Taps Akonix
Akonix (www.akonix.com) said today that its instant messaging firewalls have been adopted by Xtelesis, a network integration and management company. Xtelesis has qualified and integrated Akonix products in its network, and will use the Akonix instant messaging firewall products as part of its enterprise networking line.

Accruent Buys Contract Management Firm
Santa Monica-based Accruent (www.accruent.com) has acquired Chicago-based National Facilities Group, a provider of software and services for commercial real estate administration. Terms were not disclosed. Accruent is developing systems for managing business contracts, allowing for the tracking of corporate contract obligations and compliance.
