Kintera Integrates Microsoft Outlook
San Diego-based Kintera (www.kintera.com) has integrated its nonprofit solutions platform with Microsoft Outlook messaging software. According to the company, Kintera Sphere can now maintain and update contact information between the organization's central database and their personal Outlook applications. Kintera develops solutions for nonprofits to manage their fundraising and membership efforts.

Nova Launches Desktop Publishing Software
Calabasas-based Nova Development (www.novadevelopment.com) announced that it has released a new mid range desktop publishing solution, Art Explosion Publisher Pro. Art Explosion Publisher Pro is an all-in-one publishing solution which provides ready-made templates for more than 2500 common publications, and can output to PDF or printer. The company is also bundling over 100,000 clip art graphics images with the software. Nova develops imaging and graphics software.

Napster Rolls Out in Canada
Los Angeles-based Napster (www.napster.com) has rolled out its services into Canada, following on its launch last week in the UK. The company is now provoding its legal online digital music service across Canada, and has also tapped brewer Molson in a strategic marketing alliance to market the service. Molson will give limited free access to its customers to the Napster service. Isensix Finds $4.9M
San Diego-based Isensix has closed a $4.9M first round of funding from Shelter Capital Partners. Isensix is developing healthcare monitoring systems for medical facilities, clinical laboratories, and blood banks. The company's monitoring systems are based on using wireless technology to automatically collect and log medical systems data in real time.

DataLabs Raises $5.5M
Irvine-based DataLabs has raised $5.5M in a Series A funding. The company is developing software for the biopharmaceutical industry. DataLab's initial products provide electronic data capture and management of patient data for clinical trials. The products are targeted at streamlining the time it takes to conduct clinical trials, and speed time to market for new pharmaceuticals. The funding came from Nexus Advisory Corp.
