Wonderware Expands Into Semiconductor Manufacturing
Lake Forest-based Wonderware (www.wonderware.com) said yesterday that it is expanding its manufacturing operations software into the semiconductor manufacturing space. Wonderware provides advanced process control application for manufacturing and industrial automation, and has expanded its application architecture to support semiconductor manufacturing needs, including a new EDA interface and lot processing support.

GKM Expands Fund, Opens Menlo Park Office
Los Angeles-based GKM Ventures announced that it has completed a second close of its venture fund, increasing the fund's assets from $48M to $97M. As a result the venture firm has opened a Sand Hill Road office managed by David Stastny, managing director, and added Paul Sherer as a venture partner and Kai Tse as principal. GKM is focused on investing $2 to $4M in expansion stage companies in the western U.S.

TransDimension Raises $18M, Acquires USB Core Provider
Irvine-based TransDimension announced that it has acquired ARC International's Peripheral Connectivity assets. The company gains ARC's USB and Ethernet IP cores and development tools, expanding TransDimension's suite of USB semiconductors and software.
