Medea Ships RAID Controller
Calabasas-based Medea (www.medea.com) announced that it is shipping G-RAID, a high performance FireWire 800 RAID storage subsystem. The new system is focused on multi-stream, uncompressed SD, HDV and DV non-linear video editing.

Verari Partners with Engenio
San Diego-based Verari Systems (www.verari.com) has entered into an agreement with blade storage company Engenio to co-brand and sell Engenio's complete line of FIbre Channel and Serial ATA storage subsystems. Verari will offer Engenio's products in conjunction with its blade-server systems targeted at high performance utility computing.

SageMetrics Adds Clients
Los Angeles-based SageMetrics (www.sagemetrics.com) announced that it has added five new key clients to its roster. Sagemetrics provides web analytics software used for analyzing web site traffic performance and traffic. The company signed EmeraldCoast.com, Neutrogena, Rampage, uSwitch, and Virgin Radio as customers. The companies are using SageMetric's suite of software to optimize their web site design.

Voice Genesis Raises $650K
Los Angees-based Voice Genesis has raised a bridge loan of $650,000 from the Keiretsu Forum. Voice Genesis is developing Vemail, software for cell phone subscribers, which allows users to access existing email accounts with a combination voice/visual interface for email. The company currently has 12 employees. Voice Genesis also said that it is on its way to Series A funding. The Keiretsu Forum is an angel investor network based in Northern California, and with members in Southern California.

JAMDAT Files for IPO
Los Angeles-based JAMDAT Mobile has filed for an IPO. The company is looking to raise up to $86.25M. According to the company's IPO filing, it had a loss of $7.0M on revenues of $13.47M in 2003. For the three months ending March 31, the company earned 738,000 on revenues of $7.0M. JAMDAT develops wireless entertainment applications including games and ring tones. The offering is being underwritten by Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and UBS Investment Bank.
