CryoCor Appoints Executives
San Diego-based CryoCor (www.cryocor.com) said that it has added K. Kay Hannah as VP Human Resources, and Gregory J. Tibbitts as VP Finance and CFO. Hannah previously served at SonoSite and InControl. Tibbits was most recently at Elitra Pharmaceuticals. The company also said that it has promoted Dr. Ruchir Sehra to Vice President of Clinical Affairs. Cryocor is developing medical devices for treating atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and supraventricular tachycardia.

Novastor Backs Up Oracle
Simi Valley-based NovaStor (www.novastor.com) announced that it has upgraded its backup software to support Oracle Database servers. The company's NovaNET 9 software now supports Oracle 8i and 9i databases on Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Red Hat Linux Advanced Server 2.1, and SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8.

Harman Ships Audio System Aimed at Digital Music
Northridge-based Harman Multimedia (www.jbl.com) announced the release of JBL On Tour, a new audio system targeted at users of portable audio players and computer users. The company's compact audio system provides a stereo pair of speakers with six watts of power, an integrated cover and stand, powered by four AAA batteries.

D-Link, AOL in Expanded Deal
Fountain Valley-based D-Link and America Online announced that the two companies have expanded an alliance to provide AOL for Broadband content to D-Link's wireless media player. The two companies are working to provide AOL's Radio@AOL service and additional AOL original programming to consumers. SAP Buys Los Angeles Software Firm
SAP AG announced that it has acquired Los Angeles-based A2i, a provider of enterprise-wide product content management and cross-media catalog publishing tools. According to SAP, the acquisition will broaden SAP's data management capabilities for its NetWeaver application platform. A2i was founded in 1993 and is the developer of the xCat content management tool. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. A2i has developers in both Los Angeles and Israel.
