SeeBeyond Scores New Zealand Win
Monrovia-based SeeBeyond (www.seebeyond.com) announced that its integration products have been deployed at New Zealand Inland Revenue. Inland Revenue will use Seebeyond's software to integrate its tax information systems. SeeBeyond provides products for connecting disparate databases and systems together without requiring extensive custom programming.

Sharp Ships 3D Display
Huntington Beach-based Sharp Systems of America said today that it is shipping a new 3D graphics display. The company's LL-151-3D display provides 3D images without the requirement for glasses, and works in both 2D and 3D mode. The monitor provides a different image to each eye when a user is centered in front of the monitor. The company is targeting drug discovery, medical imaging, dental, GIS, and other markets, including entertainment. The new monitor has an estimated street price of $1499.

AMCC Joins Embedded Microprocessor Consortium
San Diego-based AMCC (www.amcc.com) said that it has joined the Embedded Microprocessor Benchmark Consortium (EEMBC). AMCC's Embedded Products Group, which acquired IBM's PowerPC 400 processor line. EEMBC develops application suites and benchmarks for embedded processors.

Vitesse Announces Ethernet MACs
Camarillo-based Vitesse Semiconductor (www.vitesse.com) has introduced a new line of triple speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) Ethernet Media Access Controllers (MACs). The new products support copper-based Gigabit Ethernet, and provide 24-, 16-, and 12- ports for Ethernet line card designs. The products are used by OEMs in developing Gigabit Ethernet hardware products.

j2 Global Acquires Messaging Provider
Los Angeles-based j2 Global Communications announced that it has acquired New Jersey and UK-based Call Sciences Ltd., a provider of a unified communications offerings and operator of the Onebox name and website. Call Sciences also provides desktop faxing services and email. j2 said that the acquisition will give it more subscribers, call services features, and three issued and pending patents. Terms were not disclosed.

Datallegro Raises $6M
Aliso Viejo-based Datallegro has raised $6M from Palomar Ventures and Venrock Associates in a Series A funding. Datallegro develops a data warehouse appliance which offers faster performance for data warehouse queries. The company's appliances are based on low cost 64-bit CPUs, Linux clusters, low cost SATA disk, and open source databases.
