WireJack Adds VP
Marina Del Rey-based WireJack (www.wirejack.com) announced that it has added Dan Glavin as VP of Mobile Messaging. Glavin has prior experience at Overture and Earthlink. WireJack is developing and marketing content and services for BREW, Symbian, and J2ME mobile applications.

DriveCam Names CEO
San Diego-based DriveCam Video Systems (www.drivecam.com) has named Bruce Moeller as president and CEO. Moeller was most recently at EMNS,a provider of supply chain quality management services. Prior CEO Ed Andrew remains as a member of the board of directors. DriveCam is developing video technology for improving driving performance and fleet management.

eEye Integrates With Microsoft Security
Irvine-absed eEye announced that it is working with Microsoft to support the computer software giant's upcoming Network Access Protection technology. eEye's enterprise and end point vulnerability prevention products will integrate with the new security tools, offering extended protection against security threats. Network Access Protection technology will be part of the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 update scheduled for release next year.

Kintera Acquires KindMark
San Diego-based Kintera has acquired KindMark, a developer of corporate giving solutions. KindMark provides solutions for managing workplace giving programs, corporate employee gift matching, volunteer tracking, and more. Kintera is purchasing KindMark for 57,691 shares of restricted common stock and $139,000 in cash, and comes on the heels of its announced acquisition last Friday of BNW software.

Figure 8 Wireless Raises $3.6M
San Diego-based Figure 8 Wireless, a provider of firmware and software for wireless devices based on the new Zigbee and 802.15.4 wireless standards, has raised $3.6M in a Series B funding. Funding came from Avalon Ventures, Viterbi Group, Cardinal Ventures, and Freescale Semiconductor. Figure 8 Wireless said that it is currently shipping to OEMs.
