Fastclick Names CFO
Santa Barbara-based Fastclick (www.fastclick.com) announced that it has named Fred Krupica as CFO. Krupica was most recently at WJ Communications, a developer of radio frequency semiconductors. Krupica also served as CFO at Magnetic Data Technologies. Fastclick provides online advertising services, providing optimization technology and revenue strategies for advertisers.

Electronics Manufacturing, Repair Companies Merge
Placentia-based BCP Systems and Quincy-based Trilogy Magentics announced that the two companies have merged and have been renamed BCP Trilogy. The companies provide outsourced manufacturing and depot repair services to small- and medium-sized electronics businesses. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The companies provide outsourced manufacturing, service, and repair for such companies as Cash Code, Epson, Lexmark, MAI, OKI and Printronix.

j2 Global, Advanta in Marketing Alliance
Los Angeles-based j2 Global Communications and Advanta Corp. announced that the two companies have joined together in a marketing alliance. Advanta, which issues business credit cards, will market j2 Global's fax-to-email service to its customers. Advanta's customers will get six months of discounted service for j2's eFax Plus service, which provides a local number and direct delivery of faxes to a customer's email account. Singlefin Lands United Online
Cardiff by the Sea-based Singlefin (www.singlefin.net) announced that United Online has implemented the company's virus management services for its NetZero and Juno customers. Singlefin operates a managed service of mail processing centers, and focuses on virus, spam, and email attachment filtering. Singlefin also said that its service include instant messaging and web filtering capability.

Overland Closes San Diego Manufacturing Facilities
San Diego-based Overland Storage (www.overlandstorage.com) announced this morning that the company is outsourcing its manufacturing operations, and closing its San Diego operations. Overland said that it will outsource all of its manufacturing to Sanmina-SCI, and lay off 140 Overland employees at its San Diego facility.
