ITU Ventures Adds Principals
Los Angeles-based ITU Ventures announced that it has added two principals to its team. The fund said that it has added Ramneek Gupta and Neel Master as Principals. Gupta has been at ITU since 2002, and has previous experience at PMC-Sierra and TiVo. Master was most recently a principal at TL Ventures, and has served as a research scientist at Microsoft and the MIT Artifical Intelligence Laboratories.

FrontBridge Expands Distribution Channel
Marina Del Rey-based FrontBridge said today that it has signed on five new OEM partners to private label its email management services. Siemens Business Services, Equant, TELUS, VeriSign, and Sprint are among the company's new OEM partners. Those companies are all integrating the FrontBridge email security service into their offerings. FinancialAid.com Acquired by College Loan Company
Education Lending Group (EDLG), a company providing student loan products, announced that it has acquired San Diego-based FinancialAid.com. FinancialAid.com provides information about paying for college, scholarships, and colleges to potential students. Education Lending said that FinancialAid.com will help them grow their online products and services, and help streamline their loan originations. Education Lending Group has been a partner of FinancialAid.com.

Buy.com Buys Social Networking Site
Aliso Viejo-based Buy.com announced this morning that it has acquired social networking site Metails.com, a web site focused on young, tech savvy individuals. The Metails site provides a way for people to publish information about themselves and their favorite products and interests. The site partners with ecommerce providers to allow users to receive referral fees for recommending products.
