Waterford Unveils Email Analysis Software
Irvine-based Waterford Technologies announced this week that the company's email analysis and reporting software is now available. The company's MailMeter MBA software allows IT managers to analyze email usage and volume, folder names and attachment types, and more. The company says that the new software is targeted at helping companies better track their email usage, such as ensuring that illegal files and movies are not stored in email, determining unused email accounts, and more.

Digital Mind Ups Digital Music Storage
Carlsbad-based Digital Mind has upped the limits on the amount of digital storage available for a portable music player with a new, 100 gigabyte digital music player and storage device. The company's upgraded DMC Xclef 500 device features 20 hours of battery life, voice recording, FM radio and recording, along with supports for handling up to 25,000 music files in MP3, WMA, and other file formats. The company said that the player is also available in 40GB, 60GB and 80GB capacities.

Boingo, Vonage Team on Wi-Fi
Santa Monica-based Boingo Wireless and Vonage announced this week that the two companies have teamed to co-market Vonage's SoftPhone service and Boingo's Wi-Fi services. The deal calls for Boingo customers to make phone calls from anywhere on Boingo's Wi-Fi network, through a phone available for computers running Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
